The College offers intensive-pre university computer summer school. Called the ‘Computer Boot Camp”, the course equips students enrolling/enrolled in other institutions on how to make use of technology during their educational and work career. A laptop will be included in the cost of the programme, a factor which will both ensure that the course features practical learning on how to use a computer. This programme, offered during a period when the facilities would otherwise be unused.
The College also offers short term computer training to the residents of Mile 91 as part of its community engagement and commitment to mainstreaming technology into life in Sierra Leone. Short term courses will be increased and diversified. Indeed we aim to keep short term courses, and ‘learning lectures’, stand-alone lessons in advanced computer applications and their use, a core feature of our institution and as a way to institute constant innovation in our college.
